Pamela DeVet and Drew Gustafson obtained summary judgment dismissal in Parisien v. Real Estate Brokerage in King County Superior Court. Plaintiff sued her real estate broker, Pam and Drew’s client, alleging the broker-client failed to properly advise plaintiff prior to her purchase of a condominium in downtown Seattle. Plaintiff’s last settlement demand was for $2,000,000. The court determined plaintiff’s claims of professional negligence and a Consumer Protection Act violation failed as a matter of law, finding the broker-client complied with her limited statutory duties. The court also denied plaintiff’s subsequent motion for reconsideration.
