Marc Rosenberg and Nicole T. Morrow prevailed in Steichen v. 1223 Spring Street Owners Association, et al., King County Superior Court, cause No. 18-2-57978-3 SEA. Marc and Nicole represented an attorney and law firm against claims brought by a plaintiff condominium owner. The plaintiff brought multiple causes of action against multiple parties, including the condominium association’s attorney and her law firm based on the lawyer’s efforts to bring the plaintiff current on his condominium assessment obligations. The claims included alleged violations of the condominium act, the condominium declaration, and various consumer protection laws. The majority of claims against the lawyer were dismissed by dispositive motion, and the remaining few were dismissed at trial.
In post-trial motions, the court granted Marc and Nicole’s motion for an award of attorney fees, ordering plaintiff to pay $290,000.
