Marc Rosenberg prevailed on summary judgment in Baker v. Law Firm, King County Superior Court, cause no. 21-2-1135-1-SEA. Plaintiff was a real estate developer that alleged the attorney, Marc’s client, was negligent is his efforts to obtain a partial release of a mortgage on a subdivided lot, and that he was injured by the negligence in having to pay certain amounts that he would not otherwise have incurred without the attorney’s representations. The attorney counterclaimed for unpaid legal fees. Marc convinced the court that plaintiff had not supported the elements of breach or proximate cause, and it entered summary judgment dismissal of plaintiff’s claims, as well as judgment on the attorney’s counterclaim.
