Mark brings over 37 years of insurance defense litigation experience to Lee Smart with a focus on defending insured clients in automobile personal injury and wrongful death matters, homeowner and business premises liability cases, products liability, construction defect, professional liability, defamation and discrimination, and other torts such as timber trespass. Mark has extensive litigation experience conducting depositions, arbitrations, jury trials, mediations, and appeals. Prior to joining Lee Smart, Mark was the managing attorney of the Washington legal offices for Farmers Insurance where he supervised attorneys defending all manner of personal injury and commercial business disputes, as well as advised the insurer’s claims professionals on Washington’s laws and unique rules/procedures for litigating cases in Washington’s courts.
