Brianne (“Bree”) is originally from Maui, Hawai‘i. After graduating from Seattle University School of Law (“SU”) in May 2024, Brianne joined Lee Smart as a first-year associate attorney. Brianne comes to Lee Smart with an illustrious background and set of legal experiences, ranging from an internship at the American Civil Liberties Union of Washington; externship with Justice G. Helen Whitener’s chambers at the Washington State Supreme Court; clinical experience at the Fred T. Korematsu Center for Law and Equality; and work experiences in business and humanitarian immigration and legal grants compliance at Tides Foundation. During her time at SU, she earned the CALI Award for the top grade in Criminal Law; received multiple honors from local and national bar associations; participated in ADR and Moot Court competitions; and served in multiple organizations, ranging from Seattle University Law Review (Senior Online Editor); Alternative Dispute Resolution (Board Member); National Filipino American Law Students Association (Founder and Immediate Past President); Filipino American Law Students Association (Founder and President); Asian Pacific Islander Law Students Association (President and Elder); Womxn of Color Coalition (Founding Member and Secretary); International Law Society (Membership and Alumni Chair); Public Interest Law Foundation (1L Representative).
In Brianne’s free time, she is involved in the minority bar associations both locally and nationally. She also volunteers with the Asian Bar Association/Chinese Information and Service Center’s pro bono legal clinic.
